WYRK Taste of Country Sets Several Records
You already knew the 2012 WYRK Taste of Country set a record for attendance, but no doubt about it, this year's show will go down as our longest one in history. And that record is likely to stand for a long time.
Beginning at 6:45 PM on Friday, June 1st and concluding at 11:15 PM on June 28th it took 655 hours to complete. The show also extended from Coca Cola Field in Buffalo to Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien, NY – a stretch of 35 miles.
And what was originally scheduled for five acts grew to a total of seven.
So a pretty good value, don’t you think?
And how about Eric Church’s return to Western NewYork?
From the rainout in Buffalo on June 1st his crew packed up and traveled to
- St. Leonard, MD
- Nashville, TN
- Chattanooga, TN
- Sparta, IL
- Enterprise, AL
- Atlantic City, NJ
- Then back to Western New York at Darien Lake
Add it all up and for Church and the guys they traveled 3,793 miles between the two Western New York dates.
