This is the 16th year that William Mattar has helped out with rides home for New Year's Eve in the Western New York area. When the program first started, there were only Taxis around Buffalo and the process was so much different. Now, with Uber, Mattar is able to give you a code through Uber to get you home safe. • You have to sign up.
• The code will come via Uber to your email.
• You have to open the email and use your discount when you call for an Uber ride on New Year's Eve.
• The discount is only good for New Year's Eve starting at 8 PM and expires at 8 AM on New Year's Day.
• You must be picked up in New York State and the destination must be in New York State.
