Sunday was a rough day for the entire country music community.

According to various reports, Joe Diffie passed away today at the age of 61 due to complications related to the COVID-19 virus.

Diffie had recently been diagnosed with coronavirus.

Country music enjoyed an explosion of popularity during the 90s, and Diffie was towards the front of that, which included 16 top 10 hits from 1990-2000.

He's best known for timeless hits, such as "Pickup Man", "Third Rock from the Sun", "John Deere Green" and "A Night to Remember."

I grew up on 90s country and Diffie was a huge influence on shaping my music taste. He was a true country music legend.

Rest in peace to an icon.
