$967 Checks Coming to Some New York State Residents

Direct deposit checks of over $960 have been deposited in the latest round of checks given out.

The latest Social Security payment has gone out to eligible residents in New York State. Individuals can receive up to $967 per month, but the amount is much higher if they file together. The government is increasing the checks by 2.5% due to inflation. Have you received your money yet?

The amount received depends on several factors, including the number of people filing. Applicants filing individually can receive up to $967 per month, couples filing jointly can receive up to $1,450, and essential persons, or those who provide SSI recipients with necessary care, can receive up to $484. Inflation has caused these amounts to increase by 2.5% since last year", according to the Gazette.
