If you’re looking to adopt a new pet to join your family, this is a perfect weekend to do so.  There will be adoptions happening in Lewiston and Niagara Falls this weekend.

Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will be on site with their animals in front of Lewiston Music, across from the Gazebo, corner of 4th and Center Streets, this Friday, July 12, 6 p.m.-9 p.m. and again on Monday, July 15, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. While you're there, enjoy the Gazebo music -- '60s, '70s and '80s tunes on Friday night and blues music on Monday night.

This Saturday, July 13, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., meet Heart of Niagara at Grandpaws Pet Emporium in Lewiston, near the corner of 8th and Center Streets, and again on Sunday, July 14, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at Blackwinds Pet Supplies on Military Road in Niagara Falls. The Blackwinds adoption event also includes a free microchip clinic sponsored by the Niagara County Health Department.
