Snuggle Dogs In Western New York Without The Commitment
Want the chance to play with and hang out with a dog for a few hours, but don't want the responsibility of actually owning one? This program is for you.
How many times have you wished you could have a dog, but your life situation isn't great for one? You really want a pet, but maybe you're not home enough to care for one, you're not financially stable enough to support one, or you simply aren't good with responsibility. You need to see this program. It's called the Doggie Entourage and it's perfect for you.
What is the Doggie Entourage program?
The Doggie Entourage program is something that is sponsored by Moog and is run through the SPCA - Serving Erie County. It's an opportunity for people to enjoy hanging out with a dog without having the responsibility of actually caring for a dog. It's almost like borrowing them for a day.
You can take them for walks or hang out with one on a patio. Maybe just play a little fetch or sit in the sun for a couple of hours.
It gives the dog a chance to get out of the SPCA for a while to stretch their legs, and it gives you a chance to love on them a bit. Of course, if you're a potential adopter, it gives you a chance to see what the dog is like outside of the shelter too.
How do you get involved in the Doggie Entourage program?
The first step is to stop down to the SPCA Serving Erie County's West Seneca location at 300 Harlem or call 716-875-7360 ext. 208. All you need is a photo ID and they'll have you sign a waiver, then they'll help you choose one of the dogs from the Doggie Entourage-approved dogs.
