This past Thursday he welcomed his old teammates the Las Vegas Golden Knights and the man he was traded for, Jack Eichel back to Buffalo where the Sabres earned a 3-1 win. Tuch had a goal in the 3rd period that sealed the win for the Sabres.
Then on Sunday, he took his game and his teammates outdoors as the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL Heritage Classic. Even though #89 didn't score on the night, he had four shots and helped the Sabres win 5-2.
After all that, on Monday Tuch decided to whip out the diamond ring and propose to his girlfriend, Kylie Edwards, who accepted and now the newest Sabre is engaged to get married.
Since joining the Buffalo Sabres, Tuch has been what Sabre fans had hoped that Jack Eichel. Tuch has scored 24 points in 28 games with the Sabres including 8 goals.
Tuch grew up in Syracuse and was a Buffalo Sabres fan as a kid, so it was a homecoming of sorts for the young forward.
Tuch was a 1st round draft pick in 2014 by the Minnesota Wild. He was the overall 18th pick that year.
For his career, Tuch has scored 69 goals, had 94 assists for a total of 163 points. He also racked up 81 penalty minutes in his career.
The Buffalo Sabres are on a West Coast swing this week and are back on the ice this Thursday against Edmonton.
