The injuries continue to pile up for the Buffalo Bills.  Heading into their week 6 matchup against the Jets, Sean McDermott named another major player on the injury list.

This last couple of weeks have been rough for the Buffalo Bills.  Not only are they on a 2 week skid but they've had to deal with some major injuries.

Last week, their biggest, most glaring loss was in wide receiver Khalil Shakir who is dealing with an ankle injury that he sustained against the Baltimore Ravens.  Allen went 9/30 in the passing game without his most trusted receiver on the field.  It became pretty obvious that there is some chemistry lacking between Allen and his new receiving corps.

Ed Oliver was a big loss last week as well from a hamstring injury that he endured on Thursday during practice.

Also missing from the lineup last week was starting safety Taylor Rapp who was still in concussion protocol.  But there's good news for him.  According to Sean McDermott at today's press conference, he is no longer in concussion protocol and will be cleared to play this week.

The Bills had a number of players on red "non-contact" jerseys at practice today including Terrel Bernard (who played last week), Taron Johnson (who was out last week again), and Mack Hollins.

Players who did not practice included Oliver, Shakir, Curtis Samuel (who has been dealing with a toe injury since training camp), and new to the list today was James Cook.

Cook suffered a toe injury in the game against the Texans last week that a lot of people may have missed.

Cook has been an integral part of Joe Brady's offense.  For years, the Bills had struggled to get something going in the run game, but the addition of James Cook to a revamped offensive line last year seemed to help.

The good thing is that because the game is on Monday this upcoming week, the Bills will have an extra day to decide who will be able to go and who won't.
