Long-Awaited Honor Finally Bestowed Upon Bills Running Back James Cook
It's not something that every NFL player can claim. However, after some very hard work, James Cook has now earned something that he will be able to take with him throughout his entire life.
James Cook is going to be a college graduate
Huge congratulations are in order for Buffalo Bills running back James Cook who has announced that he has graduated from the University of Georgia and will be walking in the commencement ceremony next month.
He will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. The commencement ceremony will take place in Athens, Georgia on Friday, May 8, 2026.
This is an even bigger accomplishment considering what he's done
Graduating from college is a huge accomplishment that anyone could be proud of. That alone is a pretty big feat. But one of the reasons that this is so big for James Cook is that he never really needed to finish it in the first place. He's already on his second professional contract in the NFL with the Buffalo Bills. He is a multi-millionaire and is easily one of the best running backs in the game right now. He's been out of school for years.
Imagine working on your college degree and becoming the league's rushing leader at the same time!
He certainly didn't need to do it for finances, but obviously, it's something he needed to do for himself. He needed to finish what he started, and he has. It's going to make that walk across the stage to get his diploma that much sweeter in May.
Congrats to James Cook on a job well done.
