It's the most guaranteed money to a running back in the NFL in the last 5 years.

Cook scored 18 total touchdowns last season while rushing for over 1,000 yards. He's a two-time Pro Bowler.  Many wondered if the Bills would pay him because the team has historically not valued running backs very highly. Also, Cook is part of a rotation, and while he may get the most snaps in a game for the back, it's usually less than half of the total offensive plays. Regardless, Cook takes advantage of his chances and is clearly a dangerous weapon for Josh Allen and the Bills' offense.

It was a drama-filled couple of weeks for the Buffalo Bills and James Cook as they tried to reach a deal before the upcoming season officially started. James Cook took to social media a few times during the off-season to mention that he wants to get paid. He was hoping to get paid $15 million a year.
