Sabres Fans Are Doubting Themselves After Quick Online Quiz

On the surface, it seems like a simple task. How well do you know your favorite team's main color. But after giving it a try, a lot of Sabres fans are doubting their eyes.

How can we all look at the same thing, and still see something different?

Remember when the internet went crazy over what color a dress was? People were ready to bet their entire life savings over the color of it. No one could decide. Then there was the sound bite that made you hear two completely different words. It was a quick 4 second computer generated sound that made people hear "yanny" or "laurel."

Now, there's a Sabres quiz that has people disagreeing again

Yesterday, the Sabres had people second guessing themselves again. They put up a simple quiz asking if people could tell which blue was "Sabres Blue." They wrote "Only the real ones will know."

Here's why I think it's tough

This quiz was a lot harder than most people might have thought. If someone came up to you, a lifelong Sabres fan, and said they would give you $100,000 if you could pick out "Sabres Blue" you probably wouldn't even blink. You'd take that bet in a second. But when you have to pick it out amongst all kinds of other blues, it makes it a little bit harder.

Also, how many different blues have the Sabres used in the last couple of years? It feels like there's a new jersey coming out all the time. Plus, the blue from years ago looks different from the blue from now. We see it on official merchandise and we see it on shirts that were made in someone's basement. How can you tell what the "official" Sabres blue is?
