Buffalo Sabres Selling “Goat Head” Beer Sabres This Weekend

Beer Sabre fans are going to want to have a little extra money on them this weekend at the Sabres game. If you have one of the yellow Beer Sabres from last year, you might want one of these "Goat Head" Sabres to go with it.

What is a beer sabre?

Last year, the Buffalo Sabres struck gold with what they were calling beer sabres. They were selling them at a limited number of games, and people were going crazy over them. They're plastic tubes with a handle on them. The way they're shaped makes them look like a sabre, only you can fill it with beer.

The Sabres are selling beer sabres at every home game

These things were such a hit that people were going on secondary sites like ebay to buy them at outrageous prices. Some of them were going for as much as $500 a piece.

Before the Sabres' season began, they announced that they were going to be selling them at every home game (while supplies last) this year. However, what they didn't mention was that there were going to be special versions of them to match what the Sabres were wearing on the ice.

Say hello to the "Goat Head" beer sabre

The beer sabres from last year had yellow handles to match the blue and gold uniforms on the ice. But the Sabres have done it again. They've given you a reason why you're going to want to buy a brand new beer sabre for this year. Say hello to the all new "Goat Head" beer sabre!

This one is meant to match the Sabres' black and red "Goat Head" jerseys that they wear for 90's nights with a red handle and a goat head logo on the tube. The Sabres will be wearing the black and red goat head jersey this weekend and the new beer sabre will be available at the locations in the tweet above. Keep in mind they will only be sold until puck drop or while supplies last. So don't waste any time getting inside if you want one. Puck drop is at 7 pm on Saturday night as the Sabres take on Utah. These ones could become the rare find that everyone is looking for this year!
