As Buffalo Temps Get Hotter, Here’s a Hack for Greener Grass
Western New York is lacking in the rain department this summer; and as we hit the hottest days of the year this week, let's take a look at a lawn hack that might be very useful. This lawn tonic will be both cost effective and efficient.
It will soften compacted soil, discourage bugs and insects, green up your lawn, garden, shrubs and trees by feeding in nitrogen, AND with the compost tonic included will help break down thatch in your lawn.
Ingredients include:
- 1 can of beer
- 1 can of cola
- 8 oz of ammonia (lemon if you have it)
- 1 cup of lemon dish soap
- 8 oz of yellow mouthwash (with LISTER) don't use the green mouthwash
For bugs: add 8 oz of tobacco tea.
You can also add a tsp of Miracle Grow for watering cans to the mix if you'd like an extra boost. Mix it all in a pitcher or bucket, pour into a 20 gallon hose end sprayer and let loose a Thunderstorm in a Bottle!
