The National Weather Service office in Buffalo, New York has a new travel advisory for those in the Western New York areas.

AVOID Travel In This New York State Location

"An area of heavy snow will move across the Buffalo and Rochester metro areas through 9 a.m. This will bring extremely poor travel conditions with poor visibility, 1-2 inches of snow in an hour, and winds gusting to 45 mph with some blowing snow. Avoid or delay travel if possible".

There were multiple accidents and delays on Thursday as schools in the region were closed because of the blowing and drifting snow. Things will change this weekend and we are expecting temperatures in the 40's with rain!
