Get out and keep celebrating the Fourth of July this weekend with some fantastic family activities!

I love baseball games! There’s just something exciting about the sound of the bat hitting the ball or the smell of hot dogs in the air! This weekend looks like the perfect weekend for a ball game too! The 4th is over, and we have this long weekend to celebrate our freedom!

Tomorrow is another game at Coca-Cola Field for the Bisons as they take on the Syracuse Chiefs. Tomorrow’s game is extra special too because it’s all about the kids! Tomorrow before the game, they will be giving away some sweet eye strips with the Bisons logo on them, and then after the game, stick around because the kids have a chance to run the bases! End the perfect day at the ballpark by letting the little ones pretend they are like the pros as they head down to the field for a post-game Kids Run the Bases event. Definitely the best part of the game. If you head out to this game, make sure you give Buster an extra high five for me!

Then again, if not everyone in the family is into baseball, how about a picnic? Tomorrow at the Buffalo Niagara Heritage Museum in Amherst is their Family Picnic Days. Spend the afternoon flying kites and taking tours of some of the historic homes on the grounds.  Along with that there will be craft activities, snacks and more. Families are definitely encouraged to pack a picnic basket and enjoy the afternoon with the historic views from their center lawn.

Unless you have a big car guy in the family...then this is a definite must for your weekend!  The Tri-Five Car Show is happening tomorrow in Clarence. If you have ever been out to the Great Pumpkin Farm, then you know where to go because the car show is right there.  This event is all to support a great cause – research for Childhood Cancer. Spend the afternoon checking out some amazing cars, trying your luck at the sucker game, the model car contest, enjoying live music, and a nice cold beer in the beer tent.
