Depew Restaurant Thanked WNY Plow Drivers In A Unique Way
Everyone is quick to criticize the plow drivers of Western New York when they are impatiently waiting for their road to be clear, but one restaurant and bar in Depew wanted to extend their thanks to all plow drivers.
Bloomfield’s Pub kept their doors open during Winter Storm Izzy, which brought in approximately two feet of snow.
On Monday, January 18, the weather caused over 250 businesses in Western New York to close for the day, but Bloomfield’s Pub remained opened — to not only serve their customers, but to say thank you to all the plow drivers in Western New York.
Bloomfield’s Pub shared a post on their Facebook on Monday morning.
The post read:
We are open and are offering free soup or chili to all plow truck drivers today!
One Cheektowaga resident commented on the post and said, « So thoughtful of you and so well deserved for all the plow truck drivers! «
Another commenter, a plow truck driver from Lancaster, said, « I’ll definitely be in for some. »
Obviously not everyone is able to supply free soup or chili to plow drivers, but everyone can show some gratitude and appreciation towards plow drivers in Western New York, who spend their entire night and day working hard to keep the roads cleared.
It’s nice to see a locally owned bar and restaurant, like Bloomfield’s Pub, showing their appreciation for those who are so often overlooked.
Thank you for all you do.
