Bills Blow Out New York In Return To Win Column [PHOTOS]
Sunday was a good day to be a member of Buffalo Mafia as the Bills bounced backed from a tough loss to Jacksonville last week to deliver a blow-out win over AFC East rival the New York Jets.
The Bills were led by a potent ground-back and a ball-hawking defense. The Bills' defense showed the NFL why they are the #1 overall ranked defense by recording 5 takeaways, 4 interceptions, and one fumble recovery. The defense gave up only 70 total rushing yards in the game.
The Bills ground game was a complete 180 of the Jets running game. The Bills recorded 139 total rushing yards and scored four rushing touchdowns. Devin Singletary led the Bills' rushing attack recording 43 yards on 6 rushing attempts. Matt Bredia, Zack Moss, and Emmanual Sanders each rushed for over 20 yards each.
The Bills passing game was on point as well as Josh Allen threw for 366 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Stefan Diggs also had a day as he caught 8 passes for 162 yards and one touchdown. Gabe Davis who had been only using sparingly this season had 3 catches for 105 yards.
With the win over the Jets and the New England Patriots win over Cleveland, the Bills still hold a half-game over the Patriots for the lead in the AFC East. The Bills still have to play the Patriots twice this year.
Up next for the Buffalo Bills will be a trip back home after two road games. The Bills return to Highmark Stadium next Sunday to play host to the Indianapolis Colts who are coming off a 23-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
