Bills Drop To 2nd Place In AFC East After Brutal Loss To Colts [PHOTOS]
The Buffalo Bills fell from the top spot of the AFC East after falling to the Indianapolis Colts at home on Sunday 41-15.
The Bills find themselves in a very familiar spot they have been in over the past 25 years, looking up to see New England atop the AFC East.
The Bills who won the AFC East last season were an early-season favorite to win the title again this year but have slipped to the number 2 spot after falling to the Colts and New England winning on Thursday night.
The Patriots have a one and half-game lead over the Bills. New England has not had them by week yet this season. The Patriots are 7-4 on the season, while the Buffalo Bills are 6-4.
New England is currently on a five-game winning streak. The good news for the Buffalo Bills is that they still play New England twice this season, so they have a chance to recover the number 1 spot in the AFC East.
While Buffalo is expected to play well in bad weather, this past Sunday it was Johnathan Taylor and the Indianapolis Colts who played like an outdoor team racking up a total of 264 rushing yards. Taylor had 185 rushing yards on 32 attempts and scored four touchdowns. He also added another receiving touchdown for a total of 5 touchdowns on the day.
The Bills' defense came into the game as the #1 overall defense in the league but that looks change after a poor showing on Sunday.
Up next for the Buffalo Bills is a short week, as they get ready to play on Thanksgiving night on the road in New Orleans.
