Buffalo Bills Could Be Bringing These Helmets Back for One Game
The Buffalo Bills are conducting their first full week of training camp at St. John Fisher University.
Monday morning is the first day of padded practice, which is always a big day for the players and coaches. It's the first chance to see the players in what will look very similar to game action; especially the rookies like tight end Dalton Kincaid.
The Bills first preseason game is less than two weeks away; August 12th against the Indianapolis Colts at Highmark Stadium. Chances are the Bills will be wearing their home blue jerseys and white helmets for that preseason game, but we might be getting a very special helmet for one game in 2023.
In case you missed the news on Saturday, the Philadelphia Eagles will be bringing back their throwback Kelly green helmets and jerseys this season. It will be the Eagles alternate.
Why does this matter to Bills fans?
That's because the Eagles will wear the Kelly green uniforms for two games, and one of them will be their November 26th home game against the Bills at Lincoln Financial Field.
This could very well mean the Bills will bring back the standing Buffalo helmet for that game, which is a look that has not been officially retired by the team, but they did choose not to wear them in 2022.
The Eagles Kelly green vs. the Bills standing buffalo and all white uniforms could be an all-time NFL game. That will look amazing in person and on TV.
Hopefully, the Bills don't miss this opportunity and bring back the standing buffalo for that game against the Eagles.
