Bills GM Brandon Beane Will Pay For Pet Adoption Fees Through SPCA
There are tons of Bills fans in Western New York, and now, even the dogs are going to be cheering for the Bills.
Buffalo Bills General Manager has offered to pay for pet adoptions through the SPCA serving Erie County. They're calling it the "Bills Muttfia" and they're hoping to put some pets in their forever homes when the Bills score.
You may remember the Hauscha family used to do the same thing when former kicker Steven Hauscha was on the team. According to BuffaloBills.com Steven's wife Lindsey became close friends with Brandon Beane's wife Hayley. After Hauscha was cut from the team, Lindsey met Hayley for lunch and told her that she was sad that that program would be ending with their departure. Right then and there Hayley told her not to worry about it and are committing to continuing it this year.
So this year, for each touchdown the Bills score at home, the Beanes will cover the adoption fees for an animal at the SPCA serving Erie County.
From a person who currently has 2 rescues in his house, I can tell you, there's nothing like the bond between a rescue pet and their new owner. While rescuing pets isn't for everyone, if you're willing to put the time into it, the rewards are endless. If you're thinking about getting a pet this year, consider adopting.
New pets are always becoming available. To check to see new Muttfia members, they will be announced on the SPCA's social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram) at noon on the day after each home game.
