The Buffalo Bills played one of the most physical games of the season so far last night.  How did they make out on the injury front?

Before we go too far, this is not an official injury report.  The first official injury report of the week will not come out until Wednesday.  The final injury report of the week normally comes out on Friday, but changes can be made right up until game time.  But some players definitely took a beating last night and those are the ones we will want to keep an eye on this week.

It was a brutal game to watch last night.  The Baltimore Ravens did to the Bills what the Bills have been doing to other teams for the first couple of weeks of the season.  Most people knew that it would be a tough matchup, but it doesn't feel like many people saw that beating coming.

Not only did they lose on the scoreboard, the Ravens physically took it to the Bills from the opening whistle.

The last thing the Bills can afford is more injuries.  They're already missing Matt Milano for a long period.  A couple of weeks ago, they lost their other starting middle linebacker, Terrel Bernard for a couple of weeks.  They lost their nickel corner Taron Johnson in week 1 against the Cardinals.  Last night it appeared as if they were going to add to that total.

Taylor Rapp

Starting safety Taylor Rapp ended up leaving the game in the second quarter after a hit on Baltimore running back Derrick Henry.  He appeared to be knocked out on the hit as you can see all of his extremities go limp.  While he was able to walk off the field on his own, he was being evaluated for a concussion and wasn't allowed to return.  We will hopefully hear more about whether he will enter the official concussion protocol today.

Khalil Shakir

Bills leading receiver Khalil Shakir ended up injuring his ankle during their first possession of the game.  He missed a couple plays while he got his ankle re-wrapped and while he didn't quite seem the same, he was able to finish the game but left the stadium in a walking boot.

Josh Allen

Allen has been on the injury report since game one against the Cardinals for his hand but then last night he took a brutal hit on a failed trick play in the third quarter.  He addressed the hit in the post-game interview.  He said that he had some pain in his lower back, but was able to finish the game without any issues.

Dalton Kincaid

Kincaid took a shot to the face from Marlon Humphrey.  It looked as though he was poked in the eye, but was also able to finish the game.

At this point, Bills fans are hoping that Bernard and Johnson might be able to return soon.  Last week fans were given a little hope that at least Bernard might be back soon as he was able to practice in the non-contact jersey.
