Buffalo Bills Sign Two More Players And Place Two On IR
The Bills have only played one preseason game so far this year, and already the shuffling of players has begun.
Brandon Beane has been a busy man. He made a ton of moves in the offseason, and now that the preseason is underway, he's still making moves.
Two players have been moved to IR (One was waived)
Already, the Bills are dealing with injuries. Following the game against the Bears on Saturday, the Bills announced that third string quarterback Shane Buchele had a neck injury. It appears as though it was one that will keep him out for a number of weeks. They placed him on IR this morning and signed free agent quarterback Ben Dinucci yesterday.
The other player that went to IR was wide receiver Chase Claypool. This is pretty bad news for Claypool who was hoping for a chance to revive his career following some dismal years in Chicago and Miami. He missed most of camp with a toe injury and was originally considered day-to-day.
They also decided to waive injured wide receiver Brian Thompson.
They've already signed two more wide receivers
They replaced Buchele with DiNucci yesterday. Today, the Bills made moves to replace Thompson and Claypool on the roster.
They signed wide receivers Damiere Byrd and Deon Cain. Byrd has already been on a number of teams including Atlanta, New England, Carolina, and most recently was signed with the Washington Commanders. Cain was a 6th round draft pick out of Clemson to the Indianapolis Colts. Unfortunately he suffered a torn ACL in the first preseason game there and has bounced from team to team ever since.
