Blue Jays Embrace ‘The Shout Song’ For The Home Opener in Buffalo [PHOTO]
In case you missed it, the Toronto Blue Jays had their official home opener at Sahlen Field on Tuesday evening. This wasn't the home opener of the regular season (that came in April in Florida), but it was the night many in Buffalo had been waiting for. Not only because MLB was back, but fans got to attend the game!
There was a vaccinated and unvaccinated section of Sahlen Field, and fans loved every second of being there. It really was perfect. The Blue Jays beat the Miami Marlins, 5-1. The temperature was perfect as well, plus, Buffalo got to see a home run or two.
But one of the coolest parts of the night was when fans were singing along to the "Shout Song", which is made famous at Buffalo Bills games in Orchard Park.
Check out what the Blue Jays did on the scoreboard!
That's so cool. I love how the Blue Jays and the City of Buffalo have embraced one another for these games. The ballpark was completely remodeled as well. From the stands and field to the clubhouse and everything in-between, it looks like a different complex. The Blue Jays staff has done an outstanding job.
If you're wondering, the Blue Jays play the Marlins again on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. before starting a three-game homestand against the Houston Astros on Friday. They host the Yankees in Buffalo starting on June 15th.
