The Buffalo Bills are getting ready to play the New England Patriots at Foxborough on Sunday afternoon. It will be the second meeting this season between the two teams.

The first matchup in early December was in a windstorm, with 45 mph wind gusts that made passing extremely difficult and kicking nearly impossible. The Patriots won 14-10, despite the fact rookie quarterback Mac Jones was only trusted to throw the ball three times.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen only threw for 147 passing yards, but considering the harsh weather conditions, it's actually impressive.

This game is very important, to put it lightly.

The Patriots are 9-5, while the Bills are 8-6. New England leads the AFC East by one game.

If New England wins, they take a two-game lead in the division which would seal it up, essentially. If Buffalo wins, they lead the AFC East, since they would own the division record tiebreaker. The Bills last two opponents are the Atlanta Falcons and New York Jets.

We know how hyped up people get for Patriots week, and on Wednesday morning, WEEI radio in Boston decided to troll Bills Mafia by proclaiming in a tweet (with a link), that the Bills' Super Bowl window had closed...

If you have paid attention over the past 20 years, WEEI radio has always had a soft spot for Buffalo and loves to troll when the opportunity arises, which is pretty adorable.

The Patriots placed four players on the Reserve/COVID list on Tuesday, including starting wide receiver Kendrick Bourne, which has been a favorite target of Mac Jones. It's still unclear whether or not he plays.

As for the Bills, they placed wide receiver Cole Beasley on the COVID list on Tuesday, which means he's out for 10 days since he's unvaccinated. Edge risher A.J. Epenesa was also placed on the list. The Bills are hopeful to get left tackle Dion Dawkins, guard Jon Feliciano and linebacker Tyrel Dodson off the list this week.

Kickoff between the Bills and Patriots is at 1 pm on CBS this Sunday.
