Don’t Expect Anymore Big Moves By The Buffalo Bills
Last week was quite the ride for Buffalo Bills fans. General manager Brandon Beane was extremely busy, as he improved the roster and made signings that helped both sides of the Bills, especially the defensive side.
The biggest move was signing star edge rusher Von Miller to a 6-year, $120 million contract. The move finally gives the Bills a difference maker in the pass rush.
The Bills so signed defensive tackles Tim Settle, Daquan Jones and Jordan Phillips; defensive end Shaq Lawson, guard Rodger Saffold and tight end O.J. Howard.
The Bills also traded for backup quarterback Case Keenum from the Cleveland Browns, and brought back former backup quarterback Matt Barkley.
Beane was a guest on the Pat McAfee show on Monday afternoon and for any Bills fans hoping they would make more big moves, Beane basically confirmed that won’t be happening.
Beane says the Bills are “pretty much done” making big moves in free agency.
Beane added that their main focus will be on the NFL Draft. They’ll likely sign a couple lesser pieces to fill out the roster but the Bills appear to have made all the moves they have wanted to in free agency.
I would be shocked if the Bills didn’t use two of their first three draft picks on cornerback and wide receiver. Those positions appear to be priorities in the draft and they’re two prime positions for value in this year’s class.
