The Buffalo Bills are just two hours away from their week 10 game at the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. It's the first meeting with the Jets this season.

The Bills are trying to get last week's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars out of their minds, but today's game just got a bit harder for the Bills; at least on the defensive side of the ball.

It was announced just a bit ago that starting defensive starter Star Lotulelei will miss today's game against the Jets, as he was placed on the COVID list this morning.

Lotulelei coulf come back next Sunday, assuming he's vaccinated, if he has two negative COVID tests within a 24 hours period. He's a major part of the Bills defensive line, as he helps create room for the edge rushers and linebackers.

The Bills will also be without starting linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and defensive tackle Justin Zimmer. Edmunds is out with a hamstring injury and Zimmer is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Because of Lotulelei being placed on the COVID list, the Bills have elevated defensive tackle Brandin Bryant from the practice squad, and it's likely he'll be active for today's game.

The Bills will go up against rookie running back Michael Carter and quarterback Mike White, who is making his third career start. It doesn't look like a huge challenge for the Bills defense, but after what happened last week against 15.5 point underdog Jacksonville, Bills fans will not take anything for granted.
