If you know me and my family, you know just how much we love pets. We're huge believers in rescuing and adopting pets because these animals have often been through so many tough situations in their lives and deserve a second chance.

Plus, rescue animals have so much unconditional love and affection to give. I mean, just look at the picture of me and my rescued pup Minnie Pearl! She was a mill mama and now lives a life of luxury at my house (maybe a little too luxurious – we need to lay off the treats). There is truly nothing like the bond between a pet and the person who adopts them. Nothing.

That's why choosing the pet that’s just right for you and your family is super important and a huge responsibility. A pet is not just a gift that you can give and then forget about. When you bring a pet into your home, they aren’t just an animal to care for — they’re a member of the family.
