The Buffalo Bills have made a move today to acquire another wide receiver to add to their corps.

Today has been a big day for trades as two well-known names have changed teams.  The first was Davante Adams in a trade between the Raiders and the Jets.  Now, the Buffalo Bills are trading for Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper.

It's a solid trade for the Bills who could certainly use another weapon for Josh Allen to target.  The cost was just right too.  They gave up a 3rd-round pick in 2025 and a 2026 7th-round pick.  They will get Cooper and a 2026 6th-round pick.

Cooper came alive last year when Joe Flacco came in to bring the Browns back at the end of the season in 2023.  He is a former Pro Bowler who began his career with the Raiders before being traded for a 1st round draft pick to the Dallas Cowboys in 2018.

The Browns were able to steal Cooper from the Cowboys in 2022 for a fifth round draft pick and a pick swap in the 6th round.

You may remember that on Christmas Eve last year, Cooper had a career-high 265 receiving yards against the Houston Texans, which also broke the Browns single-game receiving record previously held by Josh Gordon.

He is coming off a career-high year after ending the 2023 season with 72 receptions, 1,250 receiving yards, and five receiving touchdowns in 15 games and starts.

The best part for the Bills who have been struggling a little financially this year is that in the offseason, the Browns had just restructured Cooper's contract.  They will get him for a little over 800k.

As of right now, we don't know who will be coming off the 53-man roster to make room for Cooper.
