The Buffalo Bills are a tired team on Monday after their brutal 21-19 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Bills had six starters miss the game and a number of others leave with either injury or cramping due to the heat and still outgained the Dolphins by 280 yards and held the ball for over 40 minutes.

The Bills will be going into their week 4 road game against the Baltimore Ravens shorthanded, potentially severely shorthanded.

Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed with the Buffalo media on Monday that rookie cornerback Christian Benford does have a broken hand and will have surgery tomorrow. McDermott says he will be out a few weeks. The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was first to report the news.

McDermott also announced three more significant injuries to the media.

Tackle Tommy Doyle has a torn ACL and is out for the season. Guard Ryan Bates is in concussion protocol and wide receiver Jake Kumerow is week-to-week with a high ankle sprain.

The new injuries join the likes of Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Dane Jackson, Ed Oliver, Jordan Phillips and Mitch Morse -- all of whom missed Sunday's game. Hyde is out for the season with a neck injury, while the others status are still unknown for week 4 in Baltimore.

The Bills will surely have to sign a player or a few players this week, whether it would be a veteran or signing players off another team's practice squad.

The Bills need help in the secondary the most but now are thin at offensive line.
