Are The Bills Headed To Spain in 2025?
The NFL just added another international city where they will be playing a game in 2025 and there's a possibility that the Bills could be one of the teams playing there.
The NFL is really expanding. They've played games in Brazil, Mexico, Canada, England, and more and this year they're continuing to add to the cities where they can showcase their game.
They've already announced that the NFL will be heading back to England to play in two different stadiums there. They will see games from the Browns, the Jets, and the Jaguars. While the Bills won't play the Jags in 2025, they are listed as opponents for the Jets and the Browns.
They also announced that they're hoping to play a game in Ireland this year. It sounds like they're just finalizing the details on a deal to make that happen and it would be the Pittsburgh Steelers that would be considered the home team there. The Steelers are another team that the Bills have on their "away" schedule.
Today, they just announced that there will be a game played in Madrid, Spain. It would be the first ever game there.
Considering the Dolphins are a division rival, the Bills will play them twice. Once will be at Highmark Stadium and there's a possibility that the other game could be held in Madrid!
Most fans seem to dislike their team traveling internationally for a game because the travel seems to really mess with teams. Normally they don't schedule divisional games internationally though so we can't say how likely it might be that the Bills would actually end up going for that one.
But, it's interesting that so many of the teams that are confirmed for international travel are also on the Bills schedule for away games.
We will have to wait until the offseason for the official schedule release to find out which, if any games will include the Bills.
