One of the reasons the Buffalo Bills have turned things around so dramatically since 2017 is because of who is on the coaching staff and in the front office.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott was hired in January of 2017. A few months later, Buffalo hired general manager Brandon Beane.

Beane and McDermott have changed the culture and vibe of the team and organization. Beane has hired the likes of Dan Morgan and Joe Schoen, who have gone on to bigger opportunities with other NFL teams. Morgan with the Carolina Panthers as assistant GM and Schoen with the Giants as GM.

Brian Daboll, Leslie Frazier and Ken Dorsey have also done wonders for the organization. Daboll left in February to be the head coach of the Giants.

The Bills are also very invested into analytics, which are advanced stats to help evaluate the team and players. It’s become a big part of organizations in all sports over the last 10-20 years and the Bills have decided to make another important hire in the analytics department.

According to Seth Walder of ESPN, the Bills have hired former intern Drew DiSanto as full-time, Sports Performance Data Analyst.

The Bills have embraced analytics and roles to analyze stats and data in regards to player growth and projection. The Sabres have done the same for their organization, so the Pegulas have clearly decided to make it a major part of their two Buffalo sports teams.
