The Buffalo Bills will be on the lookout for another offensive lineman after one of their players made a surprise retirement announcement on Instagram.

Yesterday Trey Adams announced he was stepping away from the game on his Instagram page. Adams who is only 24 years old signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent last year.

Adams who was on the practice squad all of last season did not play a single snap during the NFL regular season.

Adams was a rising star in college at the University of Washington before getting injured in 2017 when he tore his ACL. In 2018 he injured his back and was limited to only a couple of games. While he remained healthy in 2019 and was named to the  PAC-12 first team, he didn't hear his name called in the NFL draft.

For his college career, Adams was named to the PAC-12 first team twice and in 2016 became the first true freshmen to start a game for Washington since 2012.

Adams did sign a reserves/futures contract with the Bills in January of this year and was expected to complete for a spot on the 53 man roster.

The Buffalo Bills currently have 9 offensive linemen on their roster and are expected to add more during and after the NFL draft.

The line is lead by veterans Dion Dawkins, Jose Feliciano, and Cody Ford.

The Bills are hoping to return to the AFC Championship game this season and hope to have a better outcome than last year. A trip to the Superbowl is well within reach for the Bills this season.
