
Celebrate Memorial Day Weekend With The Solar-Powered Buffalo Heritage Carousel
This weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and if you're looking for a great way to get it started with your family, you could begin at the solar-powered Buffalo Heritage Carousel.
The Buffalo Heritage Carousel begins its summer hours after this weekend
This year will be the 5th year of operation for the Buffalo Heritage Carousel at Canalside, and this Friday, they will begin their 5th summer. The hours for Memorial Day weekend will look like this:
- Noon to 7 p.m. Friday, May 22
- 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 23
- 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 24
- 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, May 25
Following Memorial Day weekend, the hours will look like this for the rest of the summer:
- Closed Mondays and Tuesdays
- 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays
- 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Fridays
- 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays
- 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays (dedicated quiet rides 11 a.m. to noon Sundays)
You could have your birthday at the carousel
If you've ever wanted to celebrate your birthday in a unique way, did you know you can hold a private birthday party at the carousel? It's new this year: The Carousel is expanding its hours for birthday parties and private events, and will offer new party packages during public weekend hours to make more time slots available. They're committed to keeping prices low
The Buffalo Heritage Carousel is committed to making rides affordable. Tickets are just $3 per ride, with $1 rides available to qualifying guests through the Museums for All program and Arts Access members. They've also got membership options. Members always ride free and receive discounts on merchandise. Current members and those signing up for membership will receive free popcorn during Memorial Day Weekend, May 22-25.
