Buffalo, Let Your Water Trickle So Your Pipes Don’t Freeze–This Is How Much It Costs Per Day
The Erie County Water Authority is reminding people to let their faucets drip so that your pipes don't freeze as we begin to see negative temperatures tonight and tomorrow. Especially if your basement or crawl spaces downstairs are not heated at the lowest point of the house.
"This preventative measure is voluntary and the water used should cost the average customer less than $1 per day, which is a very small expense compared to the cost for a service call to a private plumber or to repair a burst water line," the Erie County Water Authority said.
