A Buffalo man has been charged with murdering a 7-month-old infant. According to Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn, the incident happened on Friday, December 10, 2021. The man, 20-year-old Nasir Jackson of Buffalo, was arraigned yesterday, Sunday, December 12 in front of Tonawanda Town Court Justice Daniel T. Cavarello. His girlfriend had left her baby in his care when the homicide happened. He allegedly engaged in conduct that killed the child. He has been charged with one count of Murder in the Second Degree. The baby was taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital where he died. Jackson is being held without bail and is scheduled to return to court this Thursday, December 16 at 4:00 pm. If he is convicted, he is facing 25-years to life behind bars. Our hearts go out to the mother of the child. No mother should have to bury her son, especially before he even has a chance to live.

Buffalo Man Will Serve Prison Time For Slashing Victim's Face in Vicious Attack

The Erie County D.A. has been busy with a lot of violent crimes lately. A Buffalo man will spend time behind bars for a ruthless attack outside of a bar downtown. Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announced on December 9, that the man has been sentenced to 7 years in prison for the incident. The perpetrator, 24-year-old Carlos J. Rosa of Buffalo, received his sentence from Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case. In addition to the 7-year prison stint, Rosa will also be subject to 5 years of post-release supervision.

On Wednesday, January 1, 2020, around 2:30 am., Rosa slashed the victim across the face with a sharp object. The incident happened outside of a bar on Pearl Street in Buffalo. Rosa did not know the victim, who did not know the defendant, was taken to a hospital to undergo surgery for a large slash on his face.

On October 12, 2021, Rosa entered a guilty plea for one count of Assault in the Second Degree. The Judge also issued an order of protection against Rosa on behalf of the victim.
