After having their games postponed for over two weeks, the Buffalo Sabres are expected to be back on the ice tonight to continue their 2021 season.

The Sabres last played on January 31st and then had several games postponed due to the NHL's  COVID-19 protocols. Several players and their head coach were put on the COVID-19 list by the team over the past 16 days, but tonight they will have some of them back.

Head Coach Ralph Krueger talked about the impact COVID-19 had on him and the team during a press conference on Sunday.


The Sabres will be at home tonight hosting the New York Islanders. They will also host the Islanders tomorrow night before heading to Washington on Thursday and then to New Jersey on Saturday.

The NHL has not yet announced when the Sabres will make up the postponed games.

So far this season the Sabres have played 10 games and have a 4-4- record and are currently in last place in the East Divison.
