The annual Buffalo Zoo tradition is coming back and Western New Yorkers are excited that it is coming back with a dinosaur theme!

Zoomagination is this tradition that has started at the Buffalo Zoo a few years ago and it has really become a really fun event that has families flocking to the zoo. There is a crew that comes in mid-summer and starts putting up lantern-like structures up all over the zoo that make this pretty awesome displays and when the sun goes down in Western New York, it really creates one of the most memorable events of the year. Every year the theme changes and becomes something different. The "theme" will then go to a different zoo the following year.

How long does it last?

Zoomagination starts on July 30 at the Buffalo Zoo and goes all the way into September. The only days that Zoomagination is not open is every Monday and Tuesday. You should certainly buy tickets for the event because sometimes on the weekend especially later in the season, sell out pretty fast.

Do you have to pay if you have a season pass to the Buffalo Zoo?

Yes! You still have to buy a ticket to Zoomagination even if you have a Buffalo Zoo membership. Tickets are just under 20 dollars for each adult and every kid above the age of 3 is about 16 dollars. Kids that are 2 and under are free for the Buffalo Zoo and for this special event as well!
