Canaan Smith was on his way to Ft. Loramie, Ohio’s Country Concert early Thursday morning (July 7) when he tour bus caught fire.

On Instagram, the singer shared a photo of himself standing near his smoking tour bus in the dark. The back portion of the tour bus is clouded in white smoke, and Smith looks … well, sleepy and not particularly amused. Fortunately, no one from Smith’s camp was hurt in the incident, and their Thursday night set will not be affected by the fire.

“Man, there really is never a dull moment when you’re on the road,” Smith tells Taste of Country. “Just grateful everyone is okay, and shoutout to those that helped us get back on the bus quickly.”

Smith has a number of festival and fair tour stops on his calendar throughout July and August, and even into September. After Thursday’s stop at Country Concert, the “Hole in a Bottle” singer will head to Roanoke, Va., and Lansing, Mich., on Friday (July 8) and Saturday (July 9), respectively. He is also scheduled to appear at the Grand Ole Opry on Aug. 2; a complete list of Smith’s currently scheduled tour dates is available on his official website.

Smith released his his debut album, Bronco, in June of 2015. During a recent appearance at Country Jam in Grand Junction, Colo., he revealed that he’s been working on new music.

“This new stuff we’re really excited about,” he says. “I can’t say what’s coming next, because it’s not even fully decided yet. Y’all stay tuned because we have something coming for you.”
