Beloved Bills Coach Interviewing With Another Team on Wednesday
The Buffalo Bills staff is focused on the Senior Bowl this week and the NFL Scouting Combine at the end of February. Free agency will begin in March and then the NFL Draft in late April.
The Bills don't appear to be having too many coaching changes. Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier are still with the franchise, even with them coming under fire from fans and some media members.
The team did let go safeties coach Jim Salgado after the AFC Divisional round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, but it appears that another position coach might leave for a promotion elsewhere.
According to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Baltimore Ravens are interviewing Bills wide receivers coach Chad Hall for their offensive coordinator position on Wednesday.
The Ravens parted ways with former offensive coordinator Greg Roman in January, who was also a former Bills offensive coordinator.
Hall has been the Bills wide receivers coach since 2019 and on the staff since 2017. He played wide receiver in the NFL from 2010-2014 and was an undrafted free agent in 2008 out of Air Force.
Hall is always raved about with his players. Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis, Isaiah McKenzie and John Brown have always talked glowingly about Hall over the last several years and this would be a well-earned promotion, plus a chance to coach Lamar Jackson.
The Ravens talking to a WR coach may indicate they wish to be a more pass-balanced offense for their star quarterback, after running a run-dominant offense under Roman.
