Chef Boyardee Recalls Almost 3,000 Pounds Of Food
Check your cupboards, there's another food recall. Conagra Foods has voluntarily recalled almost 3,000 pounds of Chef Boyardee food for misbranding.
The affected cans are "Chef BOYARDEE rice with chicken & vegetables."
The reason for the recall is that they could contain milk and wheat and are not declared on the product label.
According to the USDA, the packaging on the 7.5 oz. canned microwavable bowls has “Chef BOYARDEE rice with chicken & vegetables” on the label, and a package code of 210090151050045L, and ‘BEST BY’ date of Jul082020 on the bottom of the bowl.
The bowls were shipped to Kentucky, Florida, and New York.
People that were expecting chicken and rice actually found bowls of microwave beef ravioli that were mislabeled as “chicken with rice & vegetables.” Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) was notified on March 8, 2019.
