Three Dolly Parton Shows You Wish You Saw In Western New York

It's pretty rare that I would regret going to a concert. The only time I have regrets is when a superstar passes through, and I wasn't there to see them.

When stars come thorough, you should go see them

Call it FOMO if you will, but I hate it when a huge star passes through and I don't get to see their show. It's even worse after they pass away and you realize that your chance to see them in action will never come through again.

Whenever a legend is coming through, most people go out of their way to see them. I'll never forget seeing Merle Haggard open up for Brooks & Dunn years ago. I wasn't about to miss that one.

The problem happens when you don't know that you're going to lose them. Dolly Parton just passed away on Tuesday (8/25/26), and we all thought we had more time with her. This past October, she went out of her way to say that she was doing well after a story had surfaced saying that she had passed. She convinced us that she was doing great and that she had some things to take care of with her health, but that she wasn't ready to die yet.

Dolly wasn't one of those stars who was here in Western New York every single year. When she made her way up here from Tennessee, it was a big deal. I looked up the shows that she played here in Western New York, and could only find a couple of them.
