John Berg who suffers from COPD and is on oxygen 24 hours a day; he's also recovering from a recent hospital stay. His wife, Mary Lou, is currently battling cancer. Having just had to take out a loan to replace their North Tonawanda home's leaking roof, they are in difficult financial shape and struggling to make ends meet as their medical bills continue to pile up.
