SCHEDULE: Buffalo Sabres Hosting Major Home Opener Party

Even if you do not have a ticket, check out the schedule because there is a LOT of fun things that are happening for the home opener on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in downtown Buffalo!

The Sabres are hosting Chicago for the first game of the year at KeyBank Center! This year, there are a lot of season ticket holders--there were only about 9,000 season ticket holders but, because last season was a major success, they now have over 14,000 season ticket holders. We bought seasons a couple of years ago and suddenly, it feels like we hit the jackpot with the team getting good.

Do the Buffalo Sabres have good odds to win the Stanley Cup in 2027?

It kind of felt at some point that the Sabres could go all of the way to the Stanley Cup last year. This year, though, the Sabres are not really even close to the top of the list when it comes to winning the Stanley Cup. The Buffalo Sabres are in 13th when it comes to Vegas odds of winning. That hardly by any means puts them in the playoffs this year.

For any of the outdoor activities you DO NOT need a ticket--it is free! You only need a ticket if you are going into the game obviously.
