Cole Beasley Back on the Bills Active Roster
The Buffalo Bills are preparing for their Wild Card playoff game against the Miami Dolphins this Sunday in Orchard Park. The meeting will be the third one between the two teams since September and the second in under a month.
The Dolphins are the most banged up they have been all season.
Miami won't have starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for a third straight game. Tua remains in concussion protocol. Backup Teddy Bridgewater has been limited at practice with a broken/dislocated finger, which means that third-strong rookie Skylar Thompson on pace to start this playoff game.
The Dolphins also may not have running back Raheem Mostert and offensice tackle Terron Armstead.
As for the Bills, they're the healthiest they have been in quite some time and on Thursday, the team made a move that fans have been wondering would happen.
Veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley has been signed to the 53-man roster. He is no longer just on the practice squad.
To make room, the Bills waived tackle/guard Justin Murray.
Beasley was not elevated for the regular season finale against the New England Patriots because the Bills were out of elevations for him. The playoffs has unlimited elevations, but the Bills must feel Beasley is worth keeping on the 53-man roster.
Beasley was re-signed by the Bills back in mid-December, as he came out of retirement.
Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie did not practice today but we don't yet know if he will be able to play on Sunday. If he cannot, we likely see veteran wide receiver John Brown get another elevation for game day.
