This week’s Hometown Hero is 49 year old Master Sergeant Joe Prica from Lockport, NY.  Today’s nomination is a happy one.  We want to celebrate Joe today as he recently retired in December.Joe served 33 years in the Air Force in the security forces squadron and served many tours throughout the middle east including support of operation enduring freedom, desert storm, and operation Iraqi freedom. He also raised 6 wonderful children throughout his service commitment, who are all also now currently serving.

According to his nomination:

He is a one of kind, genuinely generous man. He will do anything for anyone especially for his troops. He would strive for excellence in all he did. He was a huge asset to the Niagara Falls air base and everyone is sad to see him to retire. He is a wonderful man. And truly deserves to be recognized for his selfless, generous, acts of kindness.

We are all too happy to do that.  Congratulations on your incredible career with the United States Air Force and thank you for your service to our country.  We are proud to call you our Hometown Hero!
