It’s time once again for our Hometown Hero, with help from our friends at WNY Heroes who help us with our nominations every week.  This week, our Hometown Hero is from Cheektowaga, NY.  From our United States Army, it’s Sergeant Roy E. Nieman!

Sergeant Nieman is a WWII veteran who served from 1944-1946 in the US Army.  Roy honorably served in Europe as an expert marksman. He has received two bronze stars, WWII Victory Medal, as well as a European African Middle Eastern campaign medal.  He was in the battle of the bulge where he received a massive concussion that has had an effect on him ever since.

This week, we are honored to say thank you to Sergeant Roy E. Nieman and name him our Hometown Hero of the week!

Thanks once again to Roy E. Nieman from our United States Army, our Hometown Hero of the week!
