Country Flashback: Lionel Richie & Alabama “Deep River Woman” [VIDEO]

Lionel Richie is soon to release a country album, but he is no stranger to country music. Lionel scored his first top 10 single on the Billboard Country Singles Chart in 1987 with a song he wrote called, "Deep River Woman". Country supergroup Alabama provided the beautiful harmony vocals on this track. We played this song in heavy rotation on WYRK back in the day. It's hard for me to believe that it's been 25 years since Lionel scored this fantastic country hit.
