This Thursday, a major warm front will be sweeping across New York and bring some very Spring-like weather to the area.
Here is what to expect on Thursday.
Buffalo - Scattered Showers with a high near 68. There is also a slight chance of a thunderstorm.
Rochester - A big warm-up with a jump of over 20 degrees from Wednesday to Thursday. There will be a chance of rain and a high near 68.
Syracuse - Scattered rain showers expected on and off all day with a high temperature near 69.
Albany - Mix of sun and clouds with a slight chance of rain. High near 62.
Binghamton - Cloudy with a chance of showers. There is also a slight chance of thunderstorms. High of 60
New York City - Rain throughout the day with a chance of thunderstorms. High of 67.
Now don't get too used to the warmer weather. After a couple of colder days leading up to Thursday, the warm weather will leave the area starting on Friday. In Buffalo, the temperature swing will see a drop of around 18 degrees. Friday's high for Queen City is only 40 degrees.
We will see that drop in temperature as well for the entire state. Most places will see a drop in the high temperature by anywhere between 10-20 degrees. New York City will have a couple of extra days of warmer temperatures before falling back to the mid-40s.
