• Vehicle Crashes Into Orchard Park Store


    It’s the ninth time in the last month a car crashed into a building. Last Friday a car plowed thru the front of the Dessert Deli in Amherst. Yesterday a car drove thru the front of the Joseph A Bank clothing store on Buffalo Road in Orchard Park. Nobody was hurt including the 78-year old driver.

  • The Sabres are in Germany

    The Sabres are in Germany and spent part of their day yesterday visiting injured American soldiers at Ramstein Air Force base. They also met with some Buffaloa-area military families stationed in Germany. The Sabres play an exhibition game this afternoon against the German professional team Adler Mannheim.

  • Barry Snyder's Grandson Faces Jail Time

    The grandson of former Seneca Nation president Barry Snyder faces jail time for a DWI conviction in Cattaraugus County court. Barry Snyder the third has had a number of DWI arrests and the latest was a violation of parole. He could end up with a two year prison term.

  • 84 Year Old Driver Charged

    In Jamestown, an 84-year old driver is charged with failing to yield the right of way after she pulled from a parking lot into the path of a motorcycle on South Main Street. She and the motorcyclist were treated at WCA Hospital and released.

  • Anderson Cooper Show Tackles Bullying

    Bullying was the topic of Anderson Cooper’s daytime talk show yesterday including the parents and sister of Jamey Rodemeyer, the Williamsville North High School student who took his own life last month. Last night at the high school, the district superintendent met with parents to exchange thoughts and ideas on how to deal with the problem. The superintendent says he can’t promise things will change overnight but it’s a problem they have been dealing with and will continue to work on solutions.

  • Buffalo Housing Authority Fined

    The Buffalo Housing Authority is facing big fines in an asbestos removal project. The EPA says there were a number of violations of the federal Clean Air Act at the Kensington Heights housing project. Each violation could result in fines of up to 25-thousand dollars a day. Nine people and two contractors are facing felony criminal charges in that project.

  • Hit and Run Victim Identified

    Buffalo police have identified 48-year-old April Smith of Buffalo as the woman who was struck and killed after she was struck by a pickup truck Sunday morning on Broadway. Police continue to look for a dark, possibly green pickup truck that failed to stop.
