Did I Hear That Right? I’m Being Sued By The IRS?

Friday afternoon I got a call from an unknown number on my cell. Normally I don't answer these, but for whatever reason, this time I did.

The voice on the other line was a very official sounding message purporting to be from the IRS, saying that I was the subject of a lawsuit. Concerning right? Thank goodness for the Internet...when I did a search on the phone number, multiple reports about IRS scams (and many other types of scams) came up.

Remember that the IRS will never ask for your personal information over the phone, and trust your instincts! If a call sounds fishy, sometimes a simple google search can save you from potentially being a victim of identity theft.
